FIFCO acquired the company’s operations in Guatemala in 2006. It is a manufacturer of food and non-carbonated beverages of the highest quality, leader in the Central American area. Its products include fruit juices, nectars and soft drinks, ketchup, sauces, and beans, among others. Kern’s was founded in Guatemala in 1959 as an agroindustrial company. The founding partners were Kern’s Foods Inc. of California, which contributed its know-how and 50% of the capital, while the rest was contributed by Guatemalan businessmen.
Industrias Alimenticias Kern’s currently produces and distributes the brands Kern’s, Ducal, Sun Tea and Fun C. All products are distributed in Central America and the Caribbean, while in the U.S. only the Ducal brand is distributed.

FIFCO USA’s headquartered in Rochester, New York, is among the top 10 brewers in the United States. FIFCO USA’s portfolio includes Seagram’s Escapes, Labatt USA, Genesee Brewing Company, Lipton Hard Iced Tea, and Magic Hat Brewing Company. FIFCO USA also brews beer and alcoholic beverages on behalf of other companies.
FIFCO USA also owns leading flavored malt beverage brands, including: Seagram’s Escapes, which has experienced nine consecutive years of growth; and Seagram’s Spiked, which is the new No. 3 flavored malt beverage franchise in the overall flavored beverage category. No. 3 in the total U.S. beer category for 2018.
