July 2023. Most soccer fans have access to historic goals scored by talented players of the Costa Rican men’s league, as well as vibrant scores of the national team, but what about some historic goals of our female players and national team?

Jugadasperdidas.com is an initiative that will recreate those records of Costa Rica’s professional players that unfortunately were not captured on video.

With the help of professional gamers and anyone who wants to remake the plays through video games, we will be paying tribute to the great goals of our female players that have been forgotten due to lack of support for women’s soccer. Plays that went unrecorded either because the matches were not broadcasted or because there were no attendees to the stadium to at least record those performances with their phones.

By accessing the Jugadasperdidas.com website, people will be able to upload the recordings of the scores made in the video games and thus help recover those that have been forgotten.

The first four videos are already on the website. We reproduce the great goals of Shirley Cruz, Melissa Herrera, Gabriela Guillén and Jacqueline Álvarez, two national team players and two former national team players who have been inspiring for our country’s soccer history.
