February 2023. On Thursday, February 16th, 36 volunteers of the company FIFCO joined to give maintenance to the trails of this national park. Cleaning, replacement of pipes and creation of ditches were performed.
Poás Volcano reopened in 2018 after a period of significant volcanic activity. This national park receives around 1,000 domestic and foreign visitors per day, who will now be able to enjoy cleaner and safer spaces.

Since the beginning of the volunteer program Elegí Ayudar, FIFCO has contributed with the maintenance and preservation of national parks in the 7 provinces of Costa Rica. For 2023, it is expected to collaborate with cleaning and conservation tasks in national parks such as: Bosque del Niño, Carara National Park, Guayabo National Monument, Tapantí National Park, Los Quetzales National Park and cleaning of beaches such as: Tárcoles, Azul and Guacalillo.
